Superexpresso

Superexpresso is Italian artist Michele Angelo who's living and working in that greatest of all cities Barcelona. Some really nice illustration work and typography including a waxy treatment for The Impossible Lamp and a collaboration with my personal favourite and big-time crush Alex Trochut.

A.J. Fosik

I always get gobsmacked when I come across images of A.J. Fosik's work when trawling through me oul' stories. It's like being a park ranger in a fantasy forest of coolness, yep, forest o' coolness.

Fecal face interview here. Take that.

Pomplamoose

Tyler Stout

February's post (because I've been VERY lazy about updating content, this one covers the whole month apparently) is fittingly about an artist i l-o-v-e. Switz swoo Tyler Stout, yer posters are magnificent. I love drawings of hands and I love trainers and I love Flight of The Conchords and I love colour so he ticks all the boxes. I really love trainers.

Andy Rementer: Virgin Marathon Runners

Now I'm just shamelessly ripping off other blogs but isn't Andy Rementer only brilliant via It's Nice That.

Mark Warren Jacques

The good people at studiofolk are always introducing me to the good stuff. Like this....

Sirena con Jersey

I don't normally write about clothes cos I leave it to the pro's but I love these jumpers from Spanish designers Sirena Con Jersey. They also do a nice line in acrylic necklaces and bags, so they do. It means Mermaid with a Sweater, by the way.

Logorama

Upcoming...Logorama. An animated movie that tells the story of two cops (Michelin men) chasing a gun-toting, child-kidnapping bad guy (Ronald McDonald) through- in the words of the filmmakers- "an over-marketed world built only from logos and real trademarks."- Adrian Shaughnessy, Design Observer.
Looking forward to this short. Looks pretty eye-catching. And check out the typeface for the title at the top of the webpage. Lovely stuff.

Just don't do it

I still am not 100% sure why there's such an adversity to comic sans amongst designers and perhaps this is very telling and I am destined to never become the great designer I really want to be... hopefully I'll get it eventually but in the meantime I've stuck this to my fridge. It's by Nebojsa Cvetkovic.
